ADR Logistics is a premium logistics service provider in Hungary in the field of dangerous goods, pharmaceutical products and foods requiring special handling. They are using handheld terminals and mobile ticket printers to handle the daily traffic in the warehouse. In 2019 they decided to replace the existing wireless infrastructure – which were in “End of Support” state – to a new system which meets the current and future requirements.

Challenge

The biggest challenge was to replace the existing and running wireless solution with a new system within one weekend only – not to get out of business for too long time. What didn’t make the installation easier for the system integrator that the access points had to be installed at approximately 10 meters height.

Solution

Racing with the time, D-Link provided a comprehensive step-by-step plan for the quick and easy installation to speed up replacement. In addition, the local D-Link staff made a pilot system to migrate the existing configuration into the new system where the Customer made a lot of compatibility tests.

Result

The integrator managed to make the full replacement of 100 APs within the two days time window during the given weekend. D-Link local office provides on-site support for the Customer to give maximum ability to fix any upcoming issue.
