D-Link has unveiled two new additions to its award winning family of smart device baby monitors. The EyeOn™ Baby Monitor Junior (DCS-800L) and the EyeOn™ Baby Monitor Junior Plus (DCS-820L) have been designed to provide parents with a sophisticated yet more affordable way to keep an eye on their little ones.

Through D-Link’s partnership with WaterAid, parents will also help to transform the lives of families in developing countries with each purchase from the EyeOn™ Baby Monitor range in Europe. By donating a portion from the sale of each EyeOn Baby product, D-Link is helping to give parents in some of the poorest communities the best possible start for their new-borns, providing access to safe water and sanitation.

The portable monitors are designed to help parents by using their smartphone or tablet as a versatile and easy-to-use baby monitor. Both monitors work in conjunction with the free mydlink™ Baby Monitor mobile app to deliver sound and motion detection and remote viewing over a secure wireless network. They even have two-way audio so parents can hear and reassure their infant, whether they're in the next room or even if one is away from home.

In addition, parents have the option to insert a MicroSD card into the EyeOn™ Baby Monitor Junior Plus (DCS-820L) to automatically record motion and sound triggered videos, as well as receive email alerts. Even when sleep-deprived, new parents have complete peace-of-mind that their baby is safe and that precious moments can be recorded automatically.

Both monitors have built-in night vision with infrared LEDs that turn on automatically when it gets dark so parents can monitor their baby at all times, even when the lights are out. They can even play gentle lullabies to soothe babies to sleep.

With a choice of interchangeable coloured accent rings, the EyeOn™ Baby Monitors can be easily mounted in any room at home. They work seamlessly with existing wireless networks and iOS or Android smartphones, for connectivity in the home or remotely. This means parents will have zero interference and can use multiple smartphones/tablets as parent units. If going away, the monitors can also be connected directly to any smartphone or tablet so there is no need for an Internet connection, making it easy for parents to watch over their child no matter where they are.

The EyeOn Baby Monitor Junior Plus (DCS-820L) is available now and the EyeOn™ Baby Monitor Junior (DCS-800L) will be available from mid-summer 2014
