What is NAT?
NAT stands for Network Address Translation. It isproposed and described in RFC-1631 and is used for solving the IPaddress depletion problem. Basically, each NAT box has a tableconsisting of pairs of local IP addresses and globally uniqueaddresses, by which the box can "translate" the local IP addressesto global address and vice versa. Simply put, it is a method ofconnecting multiple computers to the Internet (or any other IPnetwork) using one IP address.
D-Link's broadband routers (i.e.: DI-604) support NAT. With properconfiguration, multiple users can access the Internet using asingle account via the NAT device.
