Why can't I access the web-based configuration for my D-Link router print server or access point?

Note: Not all D-Link routers, print servers andaccess points have a web-based configuration utility. Please checkthe manual for your particular product. In particular, theDWL-900AP does not have a web utility while the DWL-900AP doeshave a web utility. You cannot gain web-based configuration utilityfunctionality for the DWL-900AP by installing the DWL900AP utility.

When entering the IP address of the D-Link device (192.168.0.1 forexample), you are not connecting to a website on theInternet or have to be connected to the Internet. Thedevice has the utility built-in to a ROM chip in the device itself.Your computer must be on the same IP subnet to connect to theweb-based utility.
