This problem is commonly caused by using an older TV that doesnot support HDTV. If this is the case, you can change the outputformat of the DSM-330 to standard definition:

• Press the 'Setup' button on the remote
• Go to 'Display', then to 'Display Settings'
• Select 'Standard Definition' from the options
