The 2-bay cloud network storage enclosure is equipped with mydlink™ cloud services and requires zero configuration

16 September, 2013

D-Link has launched the ShareCenter™+ 2-Bay Cloud Network Storage Enclosure (DNS-327L). The newest member of D-Link’s award-winning ShareCenter™ family is re-inventing home storage for today’s mobile needs with high-performance, flexible storage for backup and media streaming applications. ShareCenter™+ supports D-Link’s unique free-to-use mydlink™ Cloud Services, enabling users to access, manage and share their valuable data remotely on any mobile device or PC with internet access. Its Zero Configuration capability also makes it very easy to set up.

The ShareCenter™+ sits at the centre of the modern digital life, connecting people to their music, videos, photos and files anytime, anywhere. Whether streaming music from a home library to a smartphone while in the car, accessing business files at a coffee shop between meetings, or showing holiday photos to friends without turning on the computer, people can connect to their content quickly and easily*.

Adrian Edwards, Consumer Solutions Manager at D-Link UK & Ireland, commented, “D-Link is using its heritage in networking and connectivity to lead the way in providing storage, sharing and streaming capabilities remotely. Media and documents stored on the ShareCenter™+ are instantly available on any Internet-connected mobile device, so all your movies and music are at your fingertips no matter where you go. You’ll never run out of media or forget a crucial file at home.”

Stream and Share Multimedia – Remotely

The Sharecenter™+ really impresses when serving media to a huge variety of standalone players and video game consoles, so content can be viewed on a living room television. It is DLNA certified and doesn’t require the computer to be turned on to deliver content to the TV.

Those with an iPod, iPhone, or iPad will also appreciate the iTunes media server integrated into the Sharecenter™+. It even comes with a P2P download engine that simplifies the process of downloading new content. Streaming and P2P functions work remotely through the secure mydlink™ portal, for truly anywhere, anytime access.

Back up the things that matter most

High performance hardware combined with Gigabit connectivity allows users to backup and transfer files quickly. Up to 1,700 songs or a high definition movie can be backed up in less than a minute, or 10,000 photos transferred in less than two minutes, saving time and power.

Create a Personal Cloud

The Sharecenter™+ makes the most of the mydlink™ Cloud Services to overcome the limited storage on smartphones and tablets. The average person will have 50GB+ of photos and music stored at home**, which is too much for many devices.

This means no more time is wasted managing files or deciding which movies and music to sync – everything is available whenever it’s wanted, via your personal cloud.

More Than Just Network Attached Storage

Smart library applications allow users to organise their music and photos effortlessly. Music Center allows people to manage their music collection with integrated music player and Apple AirPlay support, whilst Photo Center makes it easy to create albums, manage photos and share through social networks such as Facebook, Picasa and Flickr. Surveillance Center does the same for mydlink™-enabled cameras: simplifying the process of setting up a comprehensive surveillance system.

Effortless Setup with Zero Configuration

The Sharecenter™+ sets a new standard for ease of use with support for D-Link’s unique Zero Configuration capability. When paired with a compatible D-Link Cloud Router, it will automatically be detected and configured; all it takes is inserting a drive or two and pressing a button.

With the aid of a convenient software wizard, drives can optionally be installed together in a RAID 1 (mirror) configuration to prevent data loss if one drive fails. Alternatively drives can be installed in one of three additional modes (Standard, JBOD, RAID 0). Feature-rich backup software and support for Apple Time Machine help ensure the integrity of your most important data from all devices.
