DAP-X1860 Command Injection

26 listopada, 2023

Overview

On October 11, 2023, D-Link became aware of CVE-2023-45208, a command injection vulnerability affecting the DAP-X1860 Wi-Fi Extender hardware revision Ax with firmware versions v1.00, v1.01b94, and 1.01b05-01.

The DAP-X1860 is a LAN-side device as a wireless extender not designed to be placed directly on the internet, so the CVE is not a Remote as in the WAN attack vector.  The malicious user would need access to the home's Wi-Fi to execute this vulnerability.

As soon as D-Link was made aware of the reported security issues, we  promptly started our investigation and began developing security patch.

D-Link takes the issues of network security and user privacy very seriously. We have a dedicated task force and product management team on call to address evolving security issues and implement appropriate security measures.
