ShowStoppers @IFA, Berlin – September 3, 2015 – D-Link is showcasing its expanded smart home portfolio at Showstoppers @IFA 2015. The latest mydlink™ Home devices are a truly integrated series of affordable, software-connected products that help you to control, monitor and protect your home in countless ways.

All controlled through the free mydlink Home app on your smartphone or tablet, the mydlink Home products talk to each other in a seamless, intelligent way. Set-up is quick and intuitive, with control and notifications thereafter being exactly as you set it. There’s also no installation cost, no monthly subscription charges or renewal fees.

On display at IFA are D-Link’s latest mydlink Home gadgets including; the Connected Home Hub, Sirens, Water Sensor, Battery Motion Sensor, Door & Window Sensor and Smoke Detector. In addition to these new devices, D-Link is also previewing even more smart home devices that will be launched over the coming months.

“Turning your home into a smart home should be easy. The greater the choice of products on offer, and the easier it is to automate, monitor and protect your home, the more likely you are to use them,” commented Kevin Wen, President, D-Link Europe Ltd. “This is why D-Link is committed to growing its smart home portfolio, broadening the range of products and increasing their functionality. We do this by exploring and addressing what worries people – whether concerns about water leaks or knowing what is happening in their home when they’re out, we understand the positive impact it can have. As a result, we have the broadest range of smart home products on the market that can interact with each other,” added Wen.

The free mydlink Home app for iOS and Android devices can be used to get all the devices talking to each other, and triggering one another, offering hundreds of ways to secure, connect and automate your home. The only limitation is your imagination.

  • mydlink Home Water Sensor (DCH-S160): Designed to connect to an electrical outlet and directly to an existing home Wi-Fi network, the Water Sensor is designed to detect water and send a push notification to a mobile device to alert users of a water leak. Ideal for placement around water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, and in basements to provide early warning of water leaks and potentially costly water damage. The sensor detects water along the entire length of cable for greater coverage and is extendable to wrap around pipes. The mydlink Home app enables users to manage and create actions with other mydlink home devices, such as a Siren, or to turn off the device using a Smart Plug.

  • mydlink Home Siren with optional battery back-up (DCH-Z510): The mydlink Home Siren is a smart audio warning device with 6 different sounds built-in. It’s easy to set up and manage with the mydlink Home app, and connects to your router via the mydlink Home - Connected Home Hub. It works with other mydlink Home sensors, such as the Battery Motion Sensor or the Door & Window Sensor, to provide a loud audio warning when motion is detected or a door is opened. Whether you are at home or away, push notifications will alert you whenever the Siren is activated.
  • mydlink Home Door & Window Sensor (DCH-Z110): A 3-in-1 battery-powered sensor that detects when doors or windows are opened, alerting you with push notifications sent directly to your mobile device. Battery operated for flexible placement and easy installation with battery life of up to two years. Also includes a temperature and light sensor.

  • mydlink Home Siren (DCH-S220): Designed to help scare away potential intruders and help keep track of what's going on at home, the Siren sounds an alarm and delivers push notifications to your mobile device. The siren is easy to install with Wi-Fi and WPS push button setup and can play up to six different sounds based on the device and action created to trigger the alarm. Using the mydlink Home app, you can manage the siren, adjust volume and create rules to interact with other mydlink Home devices such as the Water Sensor, Motion Sensor or Door & Window Sensor.

  • mydlink Home Battery Motion Sensor (DCH-Z120): The Motion Sensor is designed to send a push notification to a mobile device whenever motion is detected. It is battery operated for flexible placement and easy installation with a battery life of up to two years. It is also designed with a temperature monitor and light sensor to provide additional notifications and integration with other mydlink Home devices for expanded rule creation, such as controlling lighting or turning on a fan/heater based on room temperature, using the mydlink Home app.

  • mydlink Home Smoke Detector (DCH-Z310): Battery-powered tamper-proof smoke detector with built-in alarm and self-test button. A built-in audio alarm alerts you whenever smoke is detected and sends a push notification to your smartphone or tablet when you’re away from home. It’s easy to set up and manage with the mydlink Home app, and connects to your router via the mydlink Home - Connected Home Hub.
It works with other mydlink Home devices such as the Smart Plug which can turn on a light when smoke is detected at night, or the Siren to give you a loud audio warning in a different part of your home.

  • mydlink Home - Connected Home Hub (DCH-G020): A central hub to control and bring together all the mydlink Home smart devices, acting as the gateway between your existing Wi-Fi network and selected mydlink Home devices*.
