How do I upgrade the firmware on my DWS-4026?

If the DWS-4026 is currently managing APs, it is recommended to upgrade the access point firmware before proceeding with the DWS-4026. The firmware upgrade for the managed access points can be found at  www.dlink.com
 
Step 1: Log into the Web Interface of your DWS Switch.. Click Tool >Multiple Image Service

Step 2: Check what is the current active Image (You would want to load the firmware on the image that is not currently being used. In this example, Image1 is being used and Image2 is not)

Step 3: Click on Tools at the top of the page, and select HTTP File Download

File Type: Code
Image Name: Select image1 or image2. It is suggested to upgrade the image currently not being used.
Select File: Browse to the downloaded firmware file (it should be an .opr file)

Click Start File Transfer

Once the firmware uploaded successfully:


Step 4: Click Tool > Multiple Image service
and confirm the firmware was successfully uploaded to the correct image

Step 5: Select the image you just uploaded the firmware to (Image 2 in this example) and click Activate. Once done, Click Update under Bootcode.

Step 6: Click Tool > Save Changes

Step 7: Click Tool > Reboot System

The updated firmware image will be loaded after the reboot.
