As the number of internet-enabled devices in the home continues to increase, the router is establishing its place at the top of the smart home food chain – keeping everyone connected. D-Link’s Wireless AC750 4G LTE Router (DWR-953) is the latest “must-have” for the home that wants always-available Internet access and high-performance Wi-Fi.

An Internet connection at home is no longer a nice to have, it is a necessity for many alongside power, phone, water and gas. Connected devices are everywhere in the house. From smartphones and tablets through to a smart plug or a motion sensor, a pet monitor or set-top box.

The new D-Link Wireless AC router connects to both high speed fixed and mobile broadband services. If fixed line broadband Internet fails, the router can automatically switch over to a 4G LTE connection. It allows users to access potentially faster mobile internet in areas where the fixed line broadband is slow, or even unavailable. The home will always be connected and you don’t need to do anything!

Kevin Wen, President of D-Link Europe Ltd said: “Whatever your home connectivity requirements, your router is your friend. Using the power of both fixed and mobile networks means faster Internet and credible back-up options to make sure devices are always online. The router powers, maintains and supports the smart home - all you need to do is plug it in!”

The Wireless AC750 4G LTE Router also allows you to access and share super-fast 4G LTE mobile broadband with multiple devices. Simply insert your SIM card and share your connection through a secure wireless network. Speeds of up to 150Mbps ensures fast, responsive Internet access for anyone connected.

For households with heavy data users such as gamers or Netflix addicts, the dual-band technology allows for Wi-Fi segmentation into two separate networks. For example, mobile devices used for chat, email or browsing can connect to the 5GHz band whilst static devices like a connected TV, a gaming console or a surveillance camera can be set up on the 2.4GHz band. High bandwidth devices such as streaming boxes can be spread across the two networks, so heavy use such as multiple movie streams won’t cause one Wi-Fi network to become overly congested. Like the lanes of a motorway, traffic, like data, flows freely when it isn’t stuck in a jam. The dual-band technology guarantees an easy journey for every Internet connection.
