D-Link, the multinational networking equipment manufacturer, today launched the PowerLine AV1000 Wi-Fi AC Starter Kit to help home and office Wi-Fi users connect anywhere in their building, with a seamless, fast connection ideal for 4K media streaming and rapid file downloads.

The DHP-W611AV PowerLine AV1000 Wi-Fi AC Starter Kit helps people add reliable high-speed wireless connectivity to any room or area via PowerLine networking with minimum fuss. Featuring the DHP-W610AV PowerLine AV1000 Wi-Fi AC Adapter and the DHP-P610AV PowerLine AV1000 Gigabit Passthrough Adapter, customers simply plug the devices into electrical sockets to use their buildings electrical wiring to expand the range of existing internet access and wireless networks.

It also supports Quality of Service which allows traffic prioritisation, for example of  multimedia traffic over other Internet traffic to guarentee high quality streaming. 128-bit AES encryption ensures a fully secure PowerLine network connection, with a Simple Connect button that allows easy set-up via Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS).
