The D-Link DSS-8+ is a Dual-Speed 8-port 10/100Mb Ethernet/Fast Ethernet NWay auto-negotiating Switch. The DSS-8+ can be deployed with multiple high-speed servers for shared bandwidth to 10Mbps or 100Mbps workgroups.

The D-Link® DSS-8+ unmanaged switch, with (8) 10/100BASE-TX ports, is one of the most popular switches in the Express EtherNetwork® product line. It is known for its exceptional performance and quality. The DSS-8+ is compact in size, so that it can be placed anywhere on a desktop. Its power connector and ports are conveniently located in the rear to avoid messy cables on the desk.

Installation is simple with the DSS-8+, as it is truly a Plug & Play switch. All ports support Auto-MDI/MDI-X, which means whether it is connecting to another switch or to a computer, there is no need for crossover cables. The DSS-8+ also auto-senses if the network device that it is connected to is running at 10Mbps or 100Mbps, and automatically adjusts accordingly. Every port supports up to 200Mbps in dedicated bandwidth, and traffic is forwarded flawlessly with automatic flow control. Equipped with a comprehensive LED display, you can monitor the status and activity of every port at a glance.

The D-Link DSS-8+ is a 8-port 10/100Mbps dual-speed switch that is an ideal choice for desktop connectivity and office workgroup solutions. When uplinked to a larger backbone switch, the DSS-8+ can provide connectivity for up to 7 additional computers, printers, and storage, offering convenience & flexibility in today's overpopulated network environments.
