The D-Link DSB-H3ETX is a combination 10/100 Ethernet Adapter and a 3 port USB Hub all in one easy to use device. As a fully integrated USB solution, it allows you to easily attach your PC to any Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN) that adheres to the IEEE 802.3 or IEEE 802.3u specifications. The DSB-H3ETX also provides your PC with 3 expanded standards-based USB compliant ports.

The D-Link DSB-H3ETX is easy to use too, with Plug-and-Play software drivers, installation is a snap. The D-Link DSB-H3ETX was designed with Windows 98 in mind. It supports both high and low speed USB devices, up to a full 12 Mbps (million bits of data per scond). The D-Link DSB-H3ETX USB Hub's high speed 12 Mbps is more than 100 times fasster than a Serial port connection, and up to 12 times faster than a Parallel port connection.

The D-Link DSB-H3ETX is a combination 10/100Mb IEEE802.3/802.3u compliant Ethernet adapter and integrated standard-based 3-port Universal Serial Bus (USB) hub all in one easy to use device. As a fully integrated USB solution, it allows users to easily connect to the Ethernet network with a complete out of the box, Plug-N-Play solution. The DSB-H3ETX employs a standard RJ-45 connector to provide a quick and simple method of plugging into an Ethernet or Fast Ethernet network hub or switch.

The DSB-H3ETX provides quick and easy access to the three type 'A' downstream ports for connecting peripherals with USB support. It also allows other USB hubs and devices to be connected. A single type "B" upstream port is provided for connecting to the host computer, or another USB hub.

As a standard compliant USB hub, the D-Link DSB-H3ETX buffers USB data from any attached peripherals or devices in strict adherence with USB Specification version 1.1 to provide an invisible extension of the USB bus. Supporting both low speed 1.5Mb/s devices and high speed 12 Mb/s devices, each port creates a bridge between the peripheral and host computer.

As a USB device, the DSB-H3ETX removes the need to take up an ISA, PCI, or PC Card slot to add LAN connectivity to a PC desktop or laptop computer. Installation and use are further simplified by living up to USB's out-of-the-box bus approach to connecting computer peripherals. Users will not need to open the case of their computer, nor will they be required to set IRQ's. The DSB-H3ETX represents the simplest way to network using IEEE 802.3 standard Ethernet or IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet.
