Why am I unable to see the created date of files on my NAS when using my Mac?

D-Link DNS Series NAS are Linux based devices.

Linux does not support "created on" date stamps, consequently when copying or moving files from your Mac OS hosts via samba shares to the DNS-321/323/343 you lose the ´created on´ date stamp for each file.
