What is tamper detection and how do I enable it?

With tamper detection, the camera is capable of detecting incidents such as redirection, blocking or de-focusing, or even spray paint.

To enable camera tampering detection:

Step 1:  Log into the web-based configuration of the camera.

Step 2:  Click on Setup icon on the top left corner.

Step 3:  Go to Event Management -> Tamper Detection



Step 4:  Check the box for Enable camera tampering detection.

Step 5: Enter the tamper trigger duration (10 sec. ~ 10 min.). The tamper alarm will be triggered only when the tampering factor (the difference between current frame and pre-saved background) exceeds the trigger threshold.

Step 6:  Click Save button to save the new settings.
