How do I enable WEP encryption on my DWL-G730AP?

Step 1 Log into the web configuration of the DWL-G730AP by opening up a web browser and typing in the IP address (the default is 192.168.0.30).

Step 2 Enter your username (admin) and your password (blank by default). Click OK.

Step 3 Click on the Home tab and then click Wireless on the left hand side.

Step 4 From the Wireless Setting page, configure the following options:

Authentication: select Open System.
WEP: select Enabled.
WEP Encryption: select 64 Bits or 128 bits.
Key Type: select HEX.
Key1: Enter your desired WEP key.

For 64-bit encryption it must be 10 characters, and for 128-bit encryption it must be 26 characters, and be composed only of numerals 0-9 and the letters A-F.



Step 5 Click on Apply.
