How to Setup Google Drive – DNS-340L
Requirements:
• Internet connection
• User(s) / Group(s) setup
• Network Share setup
• Google Account
Step 1 – Open a web browser and enter the IP of your device
Step 2 – Login into the DNS using your credentials
Step 3 – Click on Applications > Google Drive
Select “Google Drive”
Step 4 – Click on “Click here to connect to Google Drive” at bottom of screen
Step 5 – Once signed in click on “Link Account” icon
Step 6 – Click “Get Key”
Step 7 – Accept the conditions set out in your Google Account
Click “Accept”
Step 8 – Copy the code you have been sent
Step 9 – Enter your email address and the code you had been sent in Step 7
Click “Apply”
Step 10 – Click on “Browse” to search to find the “Sync Folder”
Step 11 – Select the folder you would like to synchronise with Google Drive. In our example we have a shared folder named “Test”
Click “Next”
Step 12 – Select “All Accounts” or a specific account
Click “Next”
Step 13 – Select “Read /Write”
Click “Next”
Step 14 – This screen is simply the summary of the of the network shares
Click “Finish”
Step 15 – Once you have completed the above, you can then select the “Sync Type”.
In our example we have chosen “2-Way-Sync”
• 2-Way Sync – This will synchronise data in both directions
• NAS to Google Drive – This will synchronise data on the NAS to Google Drive
• Google Drive to NAS – This will synchronise data from Google Drive to the NAS
Step 16 – We now need to setup the “Sync Schedule” and program when the synchronisation will take place
In our example we have chosen “Daily” and selected the time of “15:20”
Click “Apply”
Click “Yes”
Step 17 – To test the synchronisation, click on “Sync Now”
You should notice “Running…” Please wait for the sync to finish
Once the sync process has finished, you should get “Success”
Step 18 – Go to your Google Drive account and refresh the page (if you have it open) to see the sync files
