13 March, 2015

D-Link has unveiled the DSL-3590L Wireless AC1900 Dual-Band Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router, giving users everything they need for high-speed Internet access across the entire home.

The router delivers the fastest Wireless AC technology to date, combined with an ADSL2+ modem to provide an all-in-one complete Internet solution.  Additionally, the inclusion of Advanced AC SmartBeam™ dramatically improves the wireless range, allowing all family members to surf the Internet, stream music, watch HD-quality video from more devices, in more places, simultaneously. As a mydlink™enabled device, the owner can control and manage their network from anywhere, as well as stream and share media files - such as videos and music - through the free mydlink™ SharePort™ app.

"We expect so much more from our home Internet connections these days. We want to connect more devices and access more content and applications than ever before. The router plays a pivotal role in connecting all these devices to the increasingly rich online world," said Paul Routledge, Sales and Marketing Manager UK.

"The DSL-3590L Wireless AC1900 Dual-Band Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router is ideally suited for users who want to benefit from the latest and fastest wireless technology, and connect multiple mobile devices and computers to their home network. It provides a total solution that helps connect, share and enjoy an Internet connection with a single device that’s easy to set up and manage."

Compatible with all wireless standards, including the commonly used Wireless N and the latest Wireless AC, the DSL-3590L Wireless AC1900 Dual-Band Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router offers combined dual-band wireless speeds of up to 1.9Gbps across the 2.4GHz and 5GHz ranges. This helps guarantee the best wireless performance for older and new devices alike. There are also Gigabit WAN and LAN ports for high-speed wired connections and two USB ports (1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0) to connect storage drives and printers for sharing.

The integrated ADSL2+ modem declutters your home by allowing the phone line providing the broadband Internet to be connected directly to the device. For those that use a cable or fibre connection, the LAN port can be reconfigured as a WAN connection to offer greater flexibility.

As well as being able to remotely monitor who is using the router and what websites they are accessing, additional security options also protect from intruders and other security threats. In particular, WPA and WPA2 wireless encryption protects the network from unauthorised users, while a built-in firewall stops external threats. Furthermore, Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) makes securely connecting devices a one-button press process.
