What is mydlink™?
The mydlink™ service is a secure website which enables you to access, control and monitor all of your mydlink™-enabled devices, such as routers, cameras and storage devices from wherever you are at anytime with an internet connection. You can set up your account in a matter of minutes here at mydlink.com.


Why do I need to sign up for a mydlink™ account?
In order to use your mydlink™ enabled devices, you must sign up for a mydlink™ account and activate your device on the mydlink™.com website. This allows you to use and manage the online features and services.


How do I get my D-Link product set up and sign into the mydlink™ account?
If your mydlink™ enabled product came with a CD-ROM, use the Setup Wizard on the CD to install your device and then create your mydlink™ account. If your mydlink™enabled product did not come with a CD-ROM, you can sign up for mydlink™ through the setup wizard in your device's web interface. For routers, connect a PC or mobile device to your router either through an Ethernet cable or wirelessly, then use a web browser to go to http://192.168.0.1 or http://dlinkrouter to access the web interface. For other devices, refer to the documentation for your device on how to access the web interface.


What services does the mydlink™ secure website provide?
The mydlink™ website allows you to access your D-Link devices remotely from any Internet-connected Smartphone, Tablet or Computer.
On the mydlink.com website, you can:

  • Check your device's status
  • Configure your device's settings
  • Manage multiple devices under a single mydlink™ account


Can I use any D-Link device with the mydlink™ service?
Only mydlink™-enabled devices can be used with the mydlink™ service. mydlink™-enabled devices come in mydlink™ branded packaging, and include a label on the device that has a mydlink™ number printed on it. If your device does not have this label, then it cannot be used with the mydlink™ service.


What are the general system requirements for mydlink™ products?

  • Router with an available Ethernet port
  • Broadband Internet connection (minimum 256K upload/download bandwidth)

How do the apps work and are they free?
Once you have set up your mydlink™ account you can now download the app(s) from the Apple App store or Google play to your iPhone, iPad or Android devices.

    The mydlink™ Lite app is free and allows you to access, view and manage your mydlink™-enabled camera, router and Network Video Recorder from anywhere using an internet connection.

What is the DNR-322L Network Video Recorder?
The DNR-322L Network Video Recorder (NVR) is a standalone storage device that can record video simultaneously from up to nine network cameras without requiring users to turn on their PC. This device not only supports D-Link cloud cameras but can be used to record footage from a range of D-Link business cameras, which makes it an ideal DIY security solution for both homes and small businesses. With mydlink™ technology, the DNR-322L can be accessed remotely via a web browser from any computer connected to the Internet, just by logging into your mydlink™ account.


How do I connect a camera to a Network Video Recorder?

    If your network supports DHCP:
    It's as easy as 1-2-3 to connect your camera to your network
  1. First make sure you have your mydlink cameras setup on your network.
  2. Insert the CD from the NVR package into your PC, the autorun will bring up the Setup Wizard, follow step by step instructions to setup to the DNR-322L Network Video Recorder
  3. Connect to NVR web page and it will automatically search and add all Cameras that are on your network.
    If your network doesn't support DHCP:
  1. First make sure you have your mydlink cameras setup on your network – make sure you know what the cameras IP Address is
  2. Insert the CD from the NVR package into your PC, the autorun will bring up the Setup Wizard, follow step by step instructions to setup to the DNR-322L Network Video Recorder
  3. Connect to NVR web page and web page, and manually input the Cameras IP address in the setup page.


How many Cameras can I connect to the Network Video Recorder?
You can connect a maximum of 9 Network Cameras to the Network Video Recorder.


What kind of Cameras can I connect to the Network Video Recorder?
You can connect any mydlink™ enabled camera to D-Link’s Network Video Recorder.


What app should I download for my Network Video Recorder?

What kind of hard drive can be used with the Network Video Recorder?
Most of the hard drives in the market can be used with the DNR-322L Network Video Recorder.


How long can I view my camera's Live Video for?
If you have a router that has UPnP enabled, you can view your camera's Live Video without a time limit.


Can I use the DNR-322L Network Video Recorder as a Network Attached Storage (NAS)?
The Network Video Recorder supports file sharing functionality the same as a Network Attached Storage. This can be done when you build the File Server by inserting two (2) Hard Drives (HDD) and format it as "Standard mode", then the second HDD can be used as a NAS File Server.

Can I access the ShareCenter™ on the network?
Yes you can. You can access the device by clicking on the drive letter you have mapped to the device. For example, if you mapped the drive to ‘G drive’, open up windows explorer (not Internet Explorer) and type ‘G:’ into the address bar. You may also access it like a regular Windows share on a network, by typing its IP address into Windows Explorer as IP address (e.g. \\192.168.0.32\), or by using FTP, in which case the address is ftp://IP address.


What D-Link app do I download for my ShareCenter™?
Once you have set up your mydlink™ account you can now download the free mydlink™ Access-NAS app from the Apple App store or Google play to your iPhone, iPad or Android devices.  Allowing you to view your photos, access your documents, listen to music, and watch movies on your iPhone, iPad or Android device with an internet connection.


What languages does the mydlink™ Access-NAS app support?

What hard drives are compatible with the ShareCenter™?
Most SATA hard drives are compatible with the ShareCenter™.  Please visit your local D-Link support site listed on the Technical Support page for an updated list of compatible hard drives.


The device has a USB Port. Can I plug an external hard drive into this port?
The ShareCenter™ does support external additional drives via the USB port. This port can be used to connect a USB Printer, UPS, or USB Flash drive.

Are the mydlink cameras Mac compatible?
Yes they are. If you use Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6, you can download the Mac Setup Utility from mydlink.com to set up your camera.


How many computers can view a camera's Live View at the same time?
Each camera supports up to 10 simultaneous viewers in total for both local and remote PCs. If your camera is connected to a router that does not support UPnP, only 3 viewers will be able to view the camera’s Live View remotely.


What D-Link app should I download for the mydlink™ enabled camera?

Can I use the iPhone's web browser to go to the mydlink.com website and view my camera's live view?
Currently, you cannot view camera video through the iPhone's web browser. Please use the mydlink™ lite app to view your camera's live view.


How long can I watch the camera's live view for? Is there a time limit?
If you are viewing your live view from an iPhone on the same local network, or if you use a router that supports UPnP (such as the DIR-868L  or DIR-810L), you will not have this limitation. If your camera is connected to a router that does not support UPnP, you will only be able to use the mydlink™ lite app to remotely view your camera's live view for one minute at a time.


Is the service secure? Will I be asked to verify the camera's password when trying to access the camera via mydlink™?
Yes it is secure and if your camera's password has been changed, you will be asked to verify your camera's password. After you enter your camera's password, you will be able to access your camera from mydlink™ again.

How easy is it to set up my mydlink™ router?
Connect your PC to the router using an Ethernet cable and just open a web browser , the Web-based Setup Wizard will guide you through if you never setup your router before.


Is the service secure? Will I be asked to verify the routers password when trying to access the router via mydlink™?
Yes it is and if your router's password has been changed, you will be asked to verify your router's password. After you enter your router's password, you will be able to access your router from mydlink™ again.


Is it easy to add a new device (eg. computer) to my router?
For each PC that needs to connect to your router wirelessly, you must ensure that the correct Wireless Network Name (SSID) and encryption key has been entered.  Make sure you write down all your wireless settings and enter the information into each wirelessly connected PC.


What D-Link app do I download for my router?
Once you have set up your mydlink™ account you can download the free mydlink™ Lite app from the Apple App store or Google play to your iPhone, iPad or Android devices. This app allows you to access, view and manage your mydlink™-enabled router from anywhere at anytime using an internet connection.

After you log in to the mydlink™ app, you can see and select any connected device in the device list. Click the device icon and select "block".


What would happen if I "block" some device?
If you block a connected device in the device list, the blocked device will not be able to access Internet.


How many computers can view the router's status at the same time?
Each router supports up to 3 simultaneous viewers.
