D-Link is the global leader in connectivity for small, medium and large enterprise business networking. The company is an award-winning designer, developer and manufacturer of networking, broadband, digital electronics, voice, data and video communications solutions. D-Link invests immeasurable amounts of time and resources in the development, promotion and protection of its brands. One way of achieving this is through the use of trademarks and service marks. D-Link wants to ensure that the end-user can rely on the brand and know with confidence that when a product carries one of the D-Link trademarks, that product is going to perform at the highest level.

Consumers and business people use products, but they’re emotionally committed to brands. That’s because a brand is the soul of a product. A brand delivers a certain standard and adds a sense of expectation to the experience. Consumers have an astonishing array of choice and it’s often the brand that makes the difference. In an age of huge customer choice, having a distinctive brand is a necessity, not a luxury. Therefore, it is imperative that we are diligent and consistent in the use of our brands.

Trademarks are an essential tool for defining and protecting corporate and product identity. However, these rights are easily lost if not properly used. Therefore, it is required that the Trademark and Usage Guidelines be strictly adhered to.

Who Must Adhere to the Guidelines?  These Trademark and Usage Guidelines apply to all, including but not limited to D-Link employees, customers, licensees, consultants, and any other third party. Unless you are a Licensee of D-Link with terms and conditions of use that differ from those set forth herein, you must comply with the Guidelines.

Where Can I Find D-Link’s Trademarks?  You can find a detailed list of our trademarks below.

Use the Marks as Adjectives not Nouns. Always use the trademarks as adjectives that reference D-Link products. For example, when using "MediaLounge®" use "MediaLounge® media player" or when using "xStack®" say "xStack® switch". Never use the trademark as a noun.

Never use in Plural or Possessive Form.  Do not refer to any trademark in the plural form or possessive form. Plural form would be using it as a noun and is never correct.

Incorrect: xStack®’s flexibility
Correct: xStack® switch flexibility

Only Attribute D-Link when Used as a Trademark.

Incorrect: D-Link® will release its new D-Link router.
Correct: D-Link will release its new D-Link® router.

Make Sure to Properly Attribute. Always use the proper trademark symbol as set forth in these guidelines. Use the symbol when the trademark is referenced in a heading and the first use in the text. It is not required to continue to use the symbol after these initial uses.

D-Link Logos Always Require Permission for Use. There is never fair use of a D-Link logo. If you are interested in licensing a D-Link logo, please contact D-Link at trademarks@dlink.com.

Trademark References.  When using any of our trademarks, make sure that you properly reference their use in the copyright block. For example, "D-Link, the D-Link logo and xStack are trademarks or registered trademarks of D-Link Corporation or its subsidiaries in the United States and other countries."

D-Link Trademarks

The absence of a name or logo in this list does not constitute a waiver of any intellectual property rights that D-Link has established in any of its products, trademarks or service marks. The status column refers to the status of the trademark in the United States and/or other countries.
