It is not possible to install a PATA (parallel ATA) drivedirectly into the DNS-313 or DNS-323, as they use the SATAinterface instead.

There are adapters on the market that will allow connecting aPATA drive to a SATA interface, but these are designed to be usedin a PC and will not work with the DNS-313 or DNS-323.
