How do I configure the DWL-AB520 using the Zero Configuration Utility built into Windows XP?

Windows XP (no service pack)



Step 1 Right-click the two computer monitors iconin the system tray (the area in the lower right-hand corner of thescreen, by the clock) and select View Available WirelessNetworks.

Step 2 Highlight the SSID of your wireless networkand click Connect.

Step 3 If your SSID is not listed in theAvailable Networks section click Advanced> Add, type in the SSID next to Networkname (SSID) and uncheck This a computer-to-computer(ad-hoc) network.... Click OK.
 

Windows XP SP1


Step 1 Right-click the two computer monitors iconin the system tray (the area in the lower right-hand corner of thescreen, by the clock) and select View Available WirelessNetworks.

Step 2 Below Available wireless networksselect the SSID of the wireless network.

Step 3 If the wireless network does not requireauthentication select Allow me to connect to the selectedwireless network, even though it is not secure and thenclick Connect.

If the wireless network requires authentication (WEP, WPA, WPA-PSK)enter the key next to Network key. Select Enable802.1x authentication for this network if you areauthenticating to the wireless network using a radius server. ClickConnect.
 

Windows XP SP2


Step 1 Right-click the wireless icon in the systemtray (the area in the lower right-hand corner of the screen, by theclock) and select View Available WirelessNetworks.

Step 2 Select the SSID of the wireless networkand click Connect.

Step 3 If the wireless networks uses encryption(WEP, WPA, WPA-PSK) enter the key when prompted and then clickConnect.
