D-Link Expands Surveillance Offering With New Products in Vigilance Range
Company delivers new surveillance cameras, network video recorder and starter kit make for simple install

D-Link, the multinational networking equipment manufacturer, is enhancing its comprehensive Vigilance video surveillance portfolio with several new products, each of which has been designed specifically for security installers looking to offer digital video surveillance. The new products include two new video surveillance cameras - the DCS-4603 and DCS-4622, a network video recorder - the DNR-2020-04P, and a new surveillance starter kit - combining the DNR-2020-04P recorder and two DCS-4802E cameras. As with all products in D-Link’s Vigilance range, these new additions have been developed to simplify product selection and ease installation whilst delivering the best possible performance.
As part of D-Link’s Vigilance range, both the new cameras; the DCS-4603, a HD Indoor PoE Dome Camera, and the DCS-4622, a HD PoE FishEye Camera, offer professional, full featured high definition video surveillance with wide dynamic range (WDR) for detail in high contrast or back lit environments, and 3D noise reduction to enhance image quality regardless of variations in light levels. Both camera’s also come with D-Link’s free D-ViewCam software which enables users to centrally manage multiple cameras for home or businesses.
The DCS-4603 is ideal for any kind of retail or office environment. The camera’s 3-megapixel resolution makes it the perfect choice when facial or object recognition is required and with a 10 metre field of vision at night, the camera helps to provide peace of mind around the clock. The camera’s 3-axis gimbal allows the DCS-4603 to be positioned as required, without disrupting the orientation of the image being observed.
With a 360o fisheye lenses, the DCS-4622 is the first 360o camera in the Vigilance range and features built in image de-warping to ensure a clean field of view without distortion. The DCS-4622 also comes with infra-red night vision which covers the whole field of view, reaching out to 7.5 metres. With a small unit footprint, the DCS-4622 is an excellent choice for ceiling installation to give a 360o view of a room, 24 hours a day.
D-Link’s latest network video recorder, the DNR-2020-04P, is an all-in-one 16 channel PoE (Power over Ethernet) network video recorder that can record video from up to 16 network cameras simultaneously to its dual HDD (Hard Disk Drive) bays, with support for up to 16 TB storage. With integrated HDMI/VGA display output and USB port, users can view, control and configure the DNR-2020-04P without the need to connect it up to a PC. Along with standard recording, playback and motion detection based recording, the DNR-2020-04P also supports intelligent playback.
