D-Link has confirmed that the Boxee Box by D-Link will remain fully available and supported in Europe for new and existing customers. Since its launch in 2010, the Boxee Box by D-Link has received wide acclaim as the top performing media streaming device.

Kevin Wen, President of D-Link Europe commented: “D-Link was fully aware of Boxee’s ambitions to be a bigger part of the Smart TV movement. This was in keeping with our own plans for the Boxee Box by D-Link and why we expect to see continued adoption and positive reviews for the device.

“The Boxee Box by D-Link has been hugely successful becoming the defining device for media streaming. Whether an owner of one, or looking for a new media streaming device, the Boxee Box by D-Link remains the best choice on the market.”

D-Link confirms that the Boxee DVR was not made available in Europe. Its discontinuation will have no impact on European Boxee Box customers.

D-Link will continue to offer full hardware and warranty for new and existing Boxee Box by D-Link customers.

Customers will continue to be able to access over-the-air and/or over-the-top (OTT) content through the Boxee Box.
