How do I change the IP address on my router?

Example: You are using other networking equipment and want to change the router’s IP address in order to avoid any IP conflicts.


Router Mode Only


Step 1: Make sure your computer or mobile device is connected to the DIR-505 by Wi-Fi. Open your web browser and enter http://dlinkrouter or http://dlinkrouter.local into the address bar.



Step 2: At the login page, enter the Admin Password. If you have not changed the administrator password, leave the field blank. Click Log In.



Step 3: Move the cursor to the Setup tab at the top of the page and then click Network Settings from the menu on the left-hand side.

Step 4: Under the Router Settings section, type in the router´s new Router IP Address and Subnet Mask in the fields provided.

Step 5: Click Save Settings to save the current configuration.
