Die DXS-3600-Serie von D-Link mit stapelbaren1 Managed Top-of-Rack-Switches mit 10 Gigabit umfasst kompakte, besonders leistungsfähige Geräte mit 10 Gigabit-Ethernet-Switching, Routing und geringer Latenz. Mit einer Höhe von 1 HE und der Luftzirkulation von vorn nach hinten eignet sich die DXS-3600-Serie für den Top-of-Rack-Einsatz im Rechenzentrum sowie in Aggregationsnetzwerken in Unternehmens- und Campusumgebungen. Die DXS-3600-Serie besteht aus 24-Port- und 8-Port SFP+-Switches mit 10 Gigabit und einem Erweiterungssteckplatz. Die optional Erweiterungsmodule bieten neben weiteren 10-Gigabit-SFP+-Ports auch 120-G-Stacking1 und 10GBASE-T oder 1000BASE-T-Konnektivität für verschiedene Anwendungen.

Komfortable Bereitstellung

Die Switches der DXS-3600-Serie bieten leistungsstarkes 10-Gigabit-Ethernet-Switching mit bis zu 960/480 Gbit/s und Weiterleitungsraten von 714/357 Mbps. Im laufenden Betrieb austauschbare Netzteile und Lüfter gewährleisten Redundanz und Hochverfügbarkeit. Abgesehen von der Redundanz verlängert auch die Lastverteilung zwischen den Netzteilen deren Lebensdauer. Das modulare Lüfterdesign ermöglicht 2+1-Redundanz. Falls ein Lüfter ausfällt oder die Temperatur steigt, erhöhen die temperaturgesteuerten Lüfter entsprechend ihre Drehzahl, damit das Gerät unterbrechungsfrei arbeitet.

Flexible Software

Die DXS-3600-Serie kann mit zwei verschiedenen Software-Images eingesetzt werden: Das Standard Image (SI) verfügt über eine Vielzahl von Funktionen für Layer 2, VLAN, Multicasting, Quality of Service (QoS), Sicherheit, Rechenzentren und statisches Routing. Das Enhanced Image (EI) bietet umfassendes IPv4/IPv6-Routing mit RIP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP sowie L3-Multicasting-Funktionen wie IGMP, MLD, PIM-DM, SM, SDM, SSM und DVMR. Das Enhanced Image unterstützt ferner L2/L3-MPLS-VPN. Die Switches der DXS-3600-Serie können somit als Core-Router eines Unternehmensnetzwerks oder als Aggregation Switch in einer MPLS-Umgebung eingesetzt werden.

Funktionen für Rechenzentren

Data Centre Bridging (DCB) ist eine für Rechenzentren unverzichtbare Erweiterung von Ethernet. Die Switches der DXS-3600-Serie unterstützen verschiedene Kernkomponenten von Data Centre Bridging wie IEEE 802.1Qbb, IEEE 802.1Qaz und IEEE 802.1Qau. Diese verhindern Datenverlust durch Blockierung des Netzwerks, verwalten die Zuweisung von Bandbreite und bieten Blockierungsmanagement. Außerdem unterstützen die Switches der DXS-3600-Serie Cut-Through-Switching zur Verringerung der Netzwerklatenz.

Energieeffizienz

Bei den Switches der DXS-3600-Serie kann die Luftzirkulation durch verschiedene Netzteile und Lüftermodule angepasst werden. Der Luftstrom von vorn nach hinten verbessert die Luftzirkulation und sorgt für effektive Kühlung in Racksystemen im Rechenzentrum. Die Switches sind mit temperaturgesteuerten Lüftern ausgestattet. Interne Wärmesensoren überwachen die Temperatur und erkennen Veränderungen, auf welche die Lüfter mit angepassten Drehzahlen reagieren. Bei niedrigen Temperaturen wird die Drehzahl reduziert, was den Stromverbrauch und die Geräuschentwicklung senkt.
