Unified Access Points

Unified Wireless ist eine skalierbare, drahtlose lokale Netzwerklösung (WLAN), die verdrahtete und kabellose Anschlüsse kombiniert. Während Netzwerkadministratoren in älteren Wireless-Netzwerken ausschließlich separat auf einzelne Wireless Access Points oder Router zugreifen können, lassen sich Unified Access Points sowohl zentral über einen Wireless Switch managen als auch einzeln direkt als „klassischer“ Access Point verwalten. Firmware Updates für Access Points (Software Images) müssen nur einmal im Wireless Switch angegeben werden. Der Softwaredownload auf die einzelnen Access Points wird dann über den Switch gesteuert. Unified Wireless Access Points von D-Link sind weitreichend verwaltbar und skalierbar, bieten hohe Datenübertragungsgeschwindigkeiten sowie optionale Unterstützung für PoE und fortschrittliche Sicherheitsfunktionen.
