The stage was set for D-Link's award-winning home networking display at CES 2006 in Booth 35832 of the Las Vegas Convention Center, and the spotlight shined on the revolutionary D-Link SecureSpot, a whole new way to bring total multi-layered security to all PCs on the home network, and the D-Link MediaLounge Server, a Wireless Media Player with built-in storage and serving capability. Also on display was the new D-Link 3G Internet Security Camera.
SecureSpot Internet Security DeviceThe new SecureSpot Internet Security Device is D-Link's answer to configuring and maintaining multiple Internet protection software applications on several computers. Small and sleek, the device sits in front of the network's router and combats a wide variety of security threats simultaneously.
SecureSpot performs multiple security functions for an entire network, not just one computer, with a single device and a web services control center. It removes the need for consumers to purchase multiple licenses and integrate confusing varieties of PC-based standalone security products like firewalls, anti-virus software, pop-up killers, activity reporting, content-filtering and anti-spam programs. The device automatically blocks viruses, network attacks, malicious code, hacker exploits and hybrid threats, like SQL Slammer, Code Red and MS Blaster. Powered by Bsecure Technologies, it includes content filtering controls, anti-virus protection, firewall and intrusion detection, pop-up and spyware killers, and spam protection.
