Following suit with the original D-Link MediaLounge Wireless Media Player, the new D-Link MediaLounge Wireless Media Player with DVD carries the Microsoft PlaysForSure logo certification, guaranteeing that purchased PlaysForSure digital music, movies and other premium content will play seamlessly without additional configuration or firmware updates. With its integrated USB 2.0, the new D-Link MediaLounge Wireless Media Player with DVD is Windows Connect Now compliant, allowing quick and easy network configuration.
Additionally, D-Link is demonstrating advanced content services for the MediaLounge family of products such as AOL's You've Got Pictures™ Web-based Picture service, the Radio@AOL music service, RealNetworks' Rhapsody streaming music services, Roxio's Napster music download compatibility and integrated support of Live365's streaming digital radio service. The critical component here is the D-Link digital home access, Internet devices and standard-based connectivity for consumer electronics. The D-Link digital home concept is completely distributed throughout the home, so no single device or PC controls everything. By allowing a powerful, flexible, feature-rich D-Link Integrated Access Device to act as the primary access point to the Internet, each component can exist in a peer to peer environment yet have centralized control for security to the outside world.
