MARKETING COMMUNICATION INTERNSHIP / WRITING-EDITING EMPHASIS

Basic Function:
The Marketing Communications Internship at D-Link Systems will involve on the job training in all aspects of marketing communications at both the corporate and product levels, and will include duties normally assigned to managers, coordinators and assistants. Working and learning under the supervision of a MarCom veteran and other professional team members, the intern will be exposed to the daily responsibilities of a fast-moving, exciting company with many award-winning, technologically-advanced products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Write and edit content for online, printed and multimedia materials to educate, advertise and promote the company and its products
  • Market research
  • Media planning
  • Trade show preparation
  • Participation in key strategic planning sessions
Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in college level courses (college graduates are not eligible)
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel required
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is helpful but not required

JUNIOR PRODUCT MANAGER

Basic Function:
The Jr. Product Manager is responsible for assisting with both product planning and project management of the IP Surveillance product line. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Jr. Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan product roadmaps
  • Maintain product development schedule to ensure product availability and sustaining current products.
  • Coordinate testing of the product to ensure that it is ready for mass production release.
  • Interact with overseas teams on product development, product schedules, product information, product certifications, and product logistics.
  • Work together with product marketing, design/documentation, and marketing communications teams throughout the complete product life-cycle.
  • Ensure that the deliverables – i.e. packaging, documentation, technical specs, marketing materials, product positioning and personnel training are ready for a successful product launch.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on market trends and new technology.
  • Assist Technical Support, Sales, PR, and Customers as needed to resolve product issues.
Qualifications:
  • Must have solid technical background and understanding of both present and future standards based networking technologies.
  • Work experience and knowledge of wired and wireless networking, camera optics, and surveillance software is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, EE or CS preferred.
  • Must have strong presentation skills as well as written and verbal communication skills. Mandarin is a plus.
  • Outstanding teamwork skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines and on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Must be well organized, self-motivated and capable of seeing projects through to completion.
  • Exceptional problem solving skills, along with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external resources.

FIELD SALES ENGINEER

Basic Function:
We are looking for an individual that resides in or around Chicago, Illinois. This individual will work out of his/her home office and provide support to D-Link clients in the North Central United States.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for consulting with customers in selling and supporting company products and technologies. Provides technical support in the form of sales presentations, product demonstrations, customer training and delivery of professional consulting services. Understands, develops and delivers solutions to meet customer's business, information, technical and educational needs.

The ideal candidate is a recognized authority on relevant subject matter, which could include wired or wireless networking, NAS, SAN, Security, IP Video Surveillance, or VoIP. Contributes to the development of innovative ideas and the overall sales process. Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines in which the company must operate to be successful. Provides highly innovative solutions. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and direction for technical aspects of key accounts in the territory. Provides support on areas of experise company-wide while maintaining focus on the assigned territory.

Experience with one or more of the above technologies is required.
Qualifications:
  • Candidate must reside in or around Chicago, IL.
  • A strong technical background with sales acumen is required.
  • Strong presentation skills are recommended.
  • Excellent communication and problem resolution skills are required.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science preferred.
  • 7 years of industry experience preferred.

SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining, designing, and developing web applications using Visual Studio.net
  • Developing new web applications

Qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a go to market plan for the assigned geography that is consistent with United States goals and objectives
  • Generate demand leveraging resources to grow Sales and consistent quarter over quarter growth of revenue
  • Focus on Medium to Mid Market Enterprise Accounts, building customer relationships that span to the executive level

Qualifications:
