SR. MANAGER, MSO & TELCO SALES

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cold call and leverage existing relationships with Tier 1 and 2 Cable and Telco providers to initiate and close new sales opportunities of D-Link branded products. (i.e. wired and wireless networking products, storage, IP cameras, IP phones etc.)
  • Develop relationships with the engineering, test and procurement departments at the system (local) and or HQ locations of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Cable and Telco providers. Document their purchasing and certification processes. Submit products or information and complete any necessary processes that result in D-Link’s ability to certify its products and sell to said accounts.
  • Track existing sales opportunities within Tier 1 and 2 Cable and Telco Providers and bring to closure.
  • Identify and submit to D-Link any RFPs, RFIs being issued by Tier 1 Cable and Telco providers.
  • On-going management of account relationships to include but not be limited to managing the evaluation/approval processes, gaining ongoing, consistent sales, customer communication, problem resolution, contract negotiations, order fulfillment coordination etc.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with D-Link Accounts Receivable and when necessary, liaison with customer to make sure D-Link is receiving invoice payments in a timely manner.
  • Participation in planning meetings.
  • Maintenance of all D-Link required sales, account and pipeline tracking documents
  • Participate in technical and sales trainings in MSO and Telco focused distributors with the objective of having them generate sales opportunities in lower tier MSOs and Telcos.
  • Provide accurate product forecasting and sales pipeline maintenance and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • 5 Years experience selling home and small business networking hardware directly to Tier 1 and 2 Cable Providers and/or Telcos with verifiable and quantifiable results.
  • Must be knowledgeable about the MSO and/or space, their processes, their technologies, account names, account contacts etc.
  • Experience establishing relationships with Tier 1 and 2 MSOs and/or Telcos including: executive, purchasing, business development and engineering contacts.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred

WEB DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP

Duties and Responsibilities:
Seeking to fill immediate position for a junior level programmer to work with D-Link web development team. Ideal candidate needs to be experienced in the design, development, and maintenance of web applications using Visual Studio.Net. Other than developing new web applications, the job also requires maintaining and improving our existing applications. ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Basic Function:
This job is located in the Market Development Division of the Company, and reports to the AVP Business Development. The Associate Director New Business Development is responsible for managing New Business Development personnel and strategic accounts for the company and revenue obtainment in the wireless, digital home, storage, system integration, and embedded solution categories.

  • Develop strategic plans and forecast.

TECHNICAL MARKETING INTERNSHIP

Basic Function:
The Technical Marketing Internship at D-Link Systems will involve all aspects of technical marketing at both the corporate and product levels. Working and learning under the supervision of a tech veteran and other professional team members, the intern will be exposed to the daily responsibilities of a fast-moving, exciting company with many award-winning, technologically advanced products. This role involves technical knowledge and skills related to computer networking products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in the networking lab to install, configure, test, troubleshoot networking products
  • Write/review product descriptions, pitch letters, media briefs, and other key documents
  • Perform research activities
  • Participate in key strategic planning sessions
  • Support for trade/road shows and other marketing and media events

Qualifications:

PRODUCT MANAGER

Basic Function:
The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and project management. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Perform product demos/tests to customers/vendors
  • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
  • Propose an overall budget to ensure success
  • Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings
  • Brief press and analysts and go on press tours
  • Cost and RIO knowledge over the industry

Qualifications:

  • This is an entry level position that requires 1 to 3 years of experience as a Product Manager
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching products
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a job in the Wireless Data Networking (WiFi) market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, EE or CS preferred

NATIONAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER- IP CAMERA SPECIALIST (WEST)

Basic Function:
The position is located within the Field Sales Division of the company, and reports to the Director of Sales. The National Account Manager is responsible for revenue obtainment for IP network Camera Products for D-Link in their region and associated software partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect new opportunities on an ongoing basis for the sale of IP cameras and camera software.
  • Qualify new Reseller, End-User and Distribution opportunities by developing appropriate business cases for management to review/consider.
  • Be the lead contact within region at D-Link for IP camera opportunities.
  • Generate and document revenue opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between Distribution, VAR, E-tail, BDMR and Product Management.
  • Assist in the creation and manage programs for the sales of IP cameras.
  • Coordinate account setup with Accounting dept.

CREATIVE INTERN

Basic Function:
The Creative Internship at D-Link Systems will involve on the job training in all aspects of graphic design and production in the Marketing Dept. at both the corporate and product levels. Working and learning under the supervision of a MarCom veteran and other professional team members, the intern will be exposed to the daily responsibilities of a fast-moving, exciting company with many award-winning, technologically-advanced products.

  • Produce and design graphical content for online, printed, multimedia and large-format materials to educate, advertise and promote the company and its products.
  • Participation in key strategic planning sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in college level courses
  • Must be available to work at least 20 hours per week.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Acrobat), Quark Xpress, any knowledge of Flash is a plus.
  • Experience or interest in digital photography desired
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
  • Any knowledge of HTML/coding is a plus.

PRODUCT LAUNCH INTERN

Basic Function:
The Product Launch Intern at D-Link Systems will obtain hands on experience in all the steps a product must go through before it is introduced to the marketplace. The intern will be working with D-Link employees and vendors to ensure that product launches are smooth and successful. Working and learning under the supervision of a Product Launch veteran and other professional team members, the intern will be exposed to the daily responsibilities of a fast-moving, exciting company with many award-winning, technologically-advanced products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Product Marketing Team to ensure that product-marketing programs are launched on time.
  • Coordinate amongst multiple D-Link Departments to ensure that pricing structures, distribution strategy and marketing materials are completed and communicated appropriately.
  • Work with D-Link's channel partners to ensure that they have the most recent and up to date information on D-Link products and promotions.
  • Provide administrative assistance and scheduling support to the Product Marketing Team on an as needed basis.

Qualifications:

  • College graduates are not eligible for internship positions at D-Link. Candidates must be currently enrolled at a local college.
  • Current enrollment in Marketing related classes preferred.
  • This position starts immediately. Candidates must be available to work between 20 to 40 hours per week between the hours of 9:00 and 6:00 Monday through Friday.

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT INTERN

Basic Function:
The Product Management Intern at D-Link Systems will obtain hands on experience in all aspects of product management from researching and testing products to product rollouts. Working and learning under the supervision of a Product Management veteran and other professional team members, the intern will be exposed to the daily responsibilities of a fast-moving, exciting company with many award-winning, technologically-advanced products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Product Managers with product beta rollouts.
  • Test new networking equipment and firmware to ensure the product is as specified
  • Write or supervise the writing of Quick Installation Guides (QIGs) and Manuals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve support/product functionality issues with Tech Support, Sales, and editors.
  • Researching and collecting competitor’s product information.

Qualifications:

  • Current sophomore or junior level status at a local university required.
  • Working towards a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or technology related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
  • Ability to work 20 hours a week.
  • Interest in a future career as a Product Manager is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Layer 2/3/4 switching and routing preferred.
  • Must demonstrate initiative to learn about new technologies without supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
