With my previous router I was able to share files and printers as well as access the Internet. Now I can connect to the Internet with my new router but I cannot share files or printers. How do I fix this?
When you install a new router it is the same thing as creating a new network. Software firewalls and sometimes even the Windowsfirewall has to be told that you have a new trusted device on thenetwork.
You can either set the D-Link router as a trusted network, orfailing that it may be necessary to enter the MAC address from thebottom of the router.
If you do not know how to change this in your firewall software,please contact technical support for whichever software firewallyou are using for assistance in allowing the new router to be atrusted network.
