D-Link has launched a router to offer businesses a way to securely encrypt connections between mobile workers, branch and head offices. Businesses today have a need for networks that can support a number of key requirements: file sizes in the workplace continue to increase, bandwidth is in high demand with tools like video conferencing now commonplace, and there is an ever increasing number of devices connecting to the network.

The Wireless AC VPN Security Router (DSR-1000AC) can support up to 250Mbps VPN throughput, allowing more people to remotely connect back to the office network. Together with higher-performance routing capabilities and Wireless AC dual-band connectivity, this all-in-one network solution offers secure, high performance connectivity for devices, whether in the office or away. Branch offices can be connected seamlessly and securely to the head office as well as make use of the multiple Wide Area Network (WAN) connections, such as fixed broadband or mobile Internet via a USB dongle. This creates a load-balanced and fail-safe Internet, ensuring the availability of business applications at all times.
