D-Link today expanded its family of Smart Switches with the launch of the 10-Port 10 Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch (DXS-1100-10TS). The switch is an easy to manage and install option to increase network bandwidth for small and medium businesses (SMBs), and is D-Link’s most affordable 10 Gigabit network solution.

D-Link’s Smart Switch range provides a simple solution for business networks, with intuitive and flexible network management. Intelligent features enable the automation of traffic prioritisation and bandwidth management, and for issues on the network to be instantly remedied. Many SMBs today are faced with more traffic and increasing demands on the network. The 10-Port 10 Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch provides the benefits of 10 Gb connectivity and better network performance through a simple upgrade to the network.

The 10-Port 10 Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch can also be used as an effective option for the edge of the network, offering 10Gb connectivity to the core. By using existing Cat6 cabling, the switch offers further return on investment as well as a simpler installation process. It also offers improved power efficiency through D-Link Green technology. The Smart fans run at optimum speed to cool the system, reducing when not needed to save energy. Inactive ports are also powered down when not in use.

As with other D-Link Smart Switches, the 10-Port 10 Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch can be managed via intuitive client-based utilities and a web-based management interface.
