Description

This easy-to-use router includes basic routing and security features to help you create a dependable Wi-Fi network for your apartment or small home.

BASIC WIRELESS NETWORKING
Create a wireless network for your home using the D-Link Wireless G Router (WBR-1310). Connect the Wireless G Router to a broadband modem and wirelessly share your high-speed Internet connection. Enjoy surfing the web, checking e-mail, and chatting with family and friends online.

BASIC SECURITY PROTECTION
The Wireless G Router includes a built-in firewall that safeguards your network from harmful attacks. It minimizes the threats of hackers and prevents unwanted intruders from entering your network. Additional security features like MAC address filtering prevents unauthorized network access and parental control features prevent users from viewing inappropriate content. The Wireless G Router also supports WEP and WPA encryption.

COMPATIBILITY ASSURANCE
The Wireless G Router is based on the 802.11g standard and is backward compatible with 802.11b, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of wireless devices. It also includes four Ethernet ports so you can connect Ethernet-enabled PCs and devices.

EASY TO INSTALL AND USE
With D-Link’s Quick Router Setup Wizard, you can set up your wireless network in minutes. It configures your Internet Service Provider (ISP) settings to quickly establish broadband Internet connectivity. The Wizard even makes it easy to add new wireless devices onto the network.

I am writing to inform you of the excellent experience I recently had installing a new WBR-1310 wireless G router.

I had an existing wireless network, but it was only capable of 802.11b, and I am getting a new computer, so I wanted to upgrade it to 802.11g. I have previously unsuccessfully tried to install both a [competitor 1] and [competitor 2] routers to replace my existing network, which should have been just a simple "swap out" procedure. However, neither of their products were able to successfully restore my network to its previous set up.

I had basically given up on upgrading my network until I saw the D-Link WBR-1310 on sale at Fry's electronics, and my partner suggested that I give it a try. I liked the design and style of the unit, so I decided to try and upgrade my network one last time.

I am elated to say that I was completely successful on the first try! The set up disc had an option for people, such as myself, who were replacing existing networks. (Neither of the previous products had this option.) Furthermore, after the network was set up and I could not figure out how to activate WEP security, I called the technical support department and was given excellent customer service, which allowed me to configure WEP on my new D-Link router.

I am completely sold on D-Link products and will recommend them to friends and family, and will, of course purchase them first when I need networking products in the future.

An excellent product [WBR-1310]. I bought it for my home network so my wife and I could use our laptops anywhere in the house. Also it allows my son to hook up any of his wireless gaming consoles. Thank you for an easy-to-install product that even allows someone like me to hook up.

Wow, this router [WBR-1310] was ever easy to install. I had the network up and running within 20 minutes by just following the directions on the CD and never needed any help at all. I have had a router before but I can say that it was not as easy to install as this one.
